incredible: it’s already happening… Alphabet’s Waymo could launch its driverless taxi service next month, according to a Bloomberg source. The rides would operate under a new brand name. Some of the taxis will include backup drivers who can take control of the wheel if needed. The soft launch will likely happen in Phoenix, Arizona, where Waymo is already on the road with its fleet of modified Chrysler Pacifica minivans. Riders might belong to the existing Early Rider Program. Pricing will be set to compete with Uber and Lyft.

One of China biggest insurance company PingAn ’s division (Good Doctor) developing unstaffed, AI-assisted clinics in China. PingAn is similar to AXA in France.

Ping An Good Doctor, a leading online health care service provider in China, plans to build hundreds of thousands of unstaffed clinics across the country over the next three years. Each AI-powered clinic, which is said to be about the size of a telephone booth, is capable of providing consultation based on health-related data collected through text and voice interactions. The information gathered from the AI consultation will be reviewed by a human doctor who then gives diagnosis and prescription online.
The unmanned clinics would help further expand Ping An Good Doctor services in China’s rapidly growing internet health care market, which is expected to reach billion $14.4 billion by 2025.

Here are the key points:
1- India is one of the most exciting market worldwide today because it is growing crazily
2- Modern retail (supermarket) is going to reach 25 % of retail sales from the current 10 % in the next 5 to 8 years
3- E-commerce, on the same period, is expected to double its share to 10 to 12 % of total retail sales.
3- This growth is fueled by the youth (70 % of the country population is less than 35 years old), the rise of the internet penetration and the government measure to improve business and investment climate
Kiranas (independent very small street shop to small shops in India) will also play a key role in the touch points for the e commerce players to touch the consumer on the last km.
