The Whim app provides access to all forms of city transportation, including public transport, taxis, rental cars and bikes.
Finnish-based startup Whim has created WhimApp, an app that coordinates all forms of city transportation into a one and only platform, providing a single solution for all transportation needs. The Whim app eliminates the need for different passes and tickets. Instead of juggling each service’s payment service, users can opt for different kinds of subscriptions.
The goal is to simplify travel and to make commutes easier and cheaper, According to Whim’s founder Sampo Hietanen, “More access to alternative forms of transportation means “less traffic, less pollution, less stressful journeys”.
Whim offers a variety of payment options, including pay-as-you go and monthly subscription fees. The app  is currently available in the West Midlands and Helsinki. It is expanding to Belgium this year.
It is about the biggest democratic elections process organized, ever, worldwide.
67 % of the 900 millions Indian electors have participated to this historic moment from April to May with the final official result today.
The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is about to be reconducted with a strong majority for his Party the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party). The congress led by Raul Gandhi the main challenger looks quite weak for the moment.
This is a very good news for the business in India and also for the FDI (foreign direct investments) because Modi is clearly a pro business and a facilitator of the ease of doing business both for the Indian and for the foreigners.
His last mandate has boost the business drastically in India. The expected GDP in the country is forecast to be around 7 % for the next 3 years…
What is more difficult to know in deep,is if Modi’ will protect the Muslim’s community…
Indeed, he is considered ton be very pro Hindu.

US-China trade tensions are flooding the headlines. China has determined that to become a world power it must also become a leader in the technology industry. AI, chips, advanced manufacturing, and innovation are all among China’s highest policy priorities. However The Trump White House now agrees with China that the economy and industry are strategic assets that must be protected by policy. Western tech companies, entrepreneurs, and VCs who are hoping for a quick fix need to wake up. This issue is not going away, this struggle over values and global preeminence means politics will shape who you can raise money from, market your product to, and sell your company to for a long time. Chinese capital in the US is drying up, according to the Rhodium Group: Foreign direct investment (FDI) from China into the US fell by 84% from 2017 to 2018, Net Chinese FDI fell to negative $8 billion as Chinese investors sold off $13 billion worth of US assets, Data from MergerMarket shows that Chinese purchases of US companies fell by 94.6% from 2016 to 2018.
Is that a momentum for Europe to rise and find a warm spot under the sunshine of Chinese investments and technologies ? I believe it is!

Does anyone still think Alexa is the new platform after mobile?
6:26 PM - 19 May 2019
We’ve read a lot that voice commerce wasn’t really a trend yet. Smart assistants like Alexa and Siri take more and more space in our lives, we refer on them more and more, but regarding retail, there is still a gap between what retailers propose today, what they think they should and what customers really want.
If we focus on social media :
While 98 percent of retailers believe that social media is critical to building relationships with consumers, just 12 percent of shoppers said social media had any impact on their relationship with brands.
The problem is not what technology you use, on which platform you address your customers but how you engage with them :
The reality is retailers don’t have a technology problem. And technology for technology’s sake isn’t going to help your business survive and thrive in today’s shopping environment. Instead, you should stay focused on your core business goals. Stay focused on understanding the changing needs and expectations of consumers. Then and only then, can you determine which technology will get you there.
Think Tank: Hey Alexa, Consumers Don’t Want to Talk to a Robot When Shopping
